SOUTH BEND - Lucille Barczykowski, 85, passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in the Robertsdale Healthcare Center, Robertsdale, AL. Lucille was born on June 13, 1924, in South Bend, to the late George and Martha (Kubacki) Gadowski. On October 23, 1948, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Lucille married Matthew Barczykowski, who passed away on June 26, 2004. Lucille is survived by her sons, Martin Barczykowski of Glendale, AZ, and Mark (Ann) Barczykowski of Orange Beach, AL; grandchildren, Brenton Barczykowski of Lexington, KY, and Robert Pauwels of Buchanan, MI; and sisters, Gertrude Vargyas and Mildred Kobylarek. She was preceded in death by a third sister, Eleanor Tyler. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 6th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 7th, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Church in lieu of flowers. For those who are unable to attend the funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
