SOUTH BEND - Leon S. ''Leo'' Wieczorek, 77, of Sunset Place, died at 1 a.m. today in his home. Mr. Wieczorek retired in 1981 from AM General Corp., and was a former employee of Studebaker Corp. and Cummins Manufacturing Co. He was born April 6, 1918, in South Bend.
On June 27, 1942, in South Bend, he married Celia Trzcinski. She survives with two daughters, Diane Szymanowski of South Bend and Carol Batson of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sophie Pejza of South Bend. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapters 39 and American Legion Pulaski Post 357. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Resurection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
