Leonard "Leo" Lubelski Sr., 76, of Crumstown Highway, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, in his residence. He was born on Feb. 11, 1927, in South Bend, to Stanley and Agnes (Wojciehowski) Lubelski, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ted Lubelski, Stanley Lubelski Jr. and Chester Lubelski; and by two sisters, Virginia Brezynski and Genevieve Wroblewski. On May 21, 1949, in Our Lady of Hungary Church in South Bend, he married Betty Ann Zmudzinski, who survives him. Leonard is survived by his wife, Betty Ann; two daughters, Sharon (John) Hartman of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Janet (Robert) Hoffer of South Bend; seven sons, Leonard (Betterae) Lubelski Jr. of South Bend, Thomas Lubelski of South Bend, David (Jackie) Lubelski of North Liberty, Ind., Jeffery (Patricia) Lubelski of South Bend, John Lubelski of South Bend, Kerry Lubelski of South Bend and Kevin (Joanne) Lubelski of South Bend; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Lubelski of South Bend; a brother in law, Stanley Wroblewski; and by a sister-in-law, Lucille Lubelski of South Bend. He retired after 35 years of working at RACO. He was a member of American Legion 284, Holy Family Church, and was a former usher at Our Lady of Hungary and the Holy Name Society.
