Vincent Brekrus, 54, of 2239 Beverly Pl., died at 3:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill for five days. He was born on Jan. 22, 1908 in South Bend. He married Louise Lamenski on Sept. 19, 1928 in St. Casimir's Catholic Church. She survives. For the last 25 years he was a general foreman at the Torrington Co, Bantam Bearing Division plant there. Also surviving are a son, Richard V., South Bend, two grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Brekrus, South Bend. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kaniewski and Son Chapel. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Casimir's church with Rev. Bernard Niemier, C.S.C. pastor officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Foreman's Club at the Torrington Co. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Saturday, Dec. 15, 1962
