[N9314] Florence Hobor
Aug. 13, 1928 - June 3, 2014

SOUTH BEND - Florence M. Hobor, 85, of South Bend, passed away at 8:10 PM on Tuesday, June 3rd, at Emeritus at Arborwood in Granger after an extended illness. She was born on August 13, 1928, in South Bend to the late Peter J. and Hattie (Jaworski) Andrze-jewski. On February 28, 1947, in South Bend as the former Florence M. Andrze-jewski, she married Elmer Hobor, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2007. Florence is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (Daniel) Strong of South Bend, one brother, Aloysius V. (Margaret) Andrzejewski of Arlington, TX; two grandchildren, Tiffany R. (fianc Phil Hruska) Strong and Douglas A. (Rebecca) Strong, both of South Bend, one great grandson, Hunter Jordan Strong and several nieces and nephews. Florence enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, and watching hummingbirds. There will be no visitation or services. Florence's wishes were to be cremated and her loving family has honored those wishes. Burial will take place at Porter-Rae Cemetery, Potato Creek State Park, North Liberty. The family would like to thank all the employees at Emeritus at Arborwood and Harbor Light Hospice for their loving care and support for the several months Florence was there. You can only have one mother Patient kind and true; No other friend in all the world, Will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, To mother you will return, For all her loving kindness, She asks nothing in return. As we look upon her picture, Sweet memories we recall, Of a face so full of sunshine, And a smile for one and all. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to Harbor Light Hospice, located at 4330 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46614. Condolences may be expressed online through our website: www.hanleyandsonsfuneralhomes.com. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Hobor family.
