Obituary for Robert E. Kubisiak

Robert E. Kubisiak, age 66, of Buchanan, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at home. He was born April 6, 1947 in South Bend, IN to the late Thaddeus A. and Ellen (LeLoup) Kubisiak. On July 26, 1971, in South Bend, he married Verna Johnson who survives along with three sons; Thaddeus A. Kubisiak of Niles, Kevin (Rhonda) Kubisiak of Granger, IN, and James Kubisiak of Buchanan; and one grandchild, Hannah. Other survivors include a sister; Patricia Lula of South Bend and a brother, Theodore (Sherry) Kubisiak, of South Bend. A brother Michael Kubisiak, and two sisters, Theresa Vielberg and Mary Ellen McCollum, preceded him in death. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam Era, and was a member of Post 51 American Legion of Buchanan. Services celebrating his life will be Friday, January 3, 11:00 A.M. at Swem Chapel, Buchanan; where friends may call starting one hour prior to the service, with Father Richard Alatine of Saint Anthony Catholic Church officiating. Military rites will be provided by Post 51 American Legion of Buchanan at Swem Chapel following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
