Marc A. Senesac, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 3, 2020. Marc was born in Kankakee, Illinois to Lionel L. Senesac and Maxine F. (Hays) Senesac, both of whom preceded him in death. Marc’s sisters, Laura J. (Senesac) Schellinger and Carol Louise Senesac, also preceded him in death. Marc is survived by his brother L. Michael (Patty) Senesac, Sr. of South Bend; two sisters, Colette M. (Matt) Magor of South Bend and Liz (Chip) Gaver of Granger; nine nieces and nephews, Hillary (Senesac) Jeffery, L. Michael Senesac, Jr., Brandon Magor, Christopher Magor, Jennifer Magor, Katie (Schellinger) Wokoun, CJ Gaver, Greg Gaver and Emily Gaver; and six great-nieces and great-nephews, Neal Jeffery, Nolan Jeffery, L. Michael Senesac III, Adelyn Senesac, Grace Magor and Grant Magor. Marc received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame (1972), Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University (1976), and Ph.D., all but dissertation, from Loyola University of Chicago. Marc lived and worked most of his life in and around the Chicago area. He was a teacher at St. Edward High School in Elgin, IL, a principal at St. Catherine of Sienna School in West Dundee, IL, and retired after 30 years as Vice President of Human Resources of Advocate Health Care in Chicago, IL. Marc was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish at Notre Dame and enjoyed volunteering every Monday at Saint Mary’s Convent. Marc had a big personality, loved to cook, travel and spend time with his close friends and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of University of Notre Dame. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
