George Obren, aged 55, of 1120 South Franklin street, died at, 4:30 p.m. Monday in Memorial hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was born in Stupovaca, Yugoslavia, April 24, 1894, and came here 37 years ago. Surviving are five sons, Peter, Stephen, Andrew, George Jr., and Fred of South Bend, Ind. Three daughters, Rose Harlow of Wolcott, Ind. Violet, and Millicent Obren of South Bend Ind., one grandson Jairus Wilson Harlow of Wolcott, Ind., and two brothers. Dick and Nick, both of Gary, Ind. Friends may call in SS Peter & Paul Serbian hall tonight and until the hour of the funeral services. Mr. Obren was a member of the SS Peter & Paul Serbian club.
