MISHAWAKA - Darlene Frances Andert, age 65, of Mishawaka passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her residence. Darlene was born March 12, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Frank and Irene (Lyczynski) Tubicsak. On August 9, 1986, she married Terry Andert. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Paul (Robin) Fox of Pace, Florida, Dawn (Dwight) Houck, Jerry (Kristin) Toth, Kimberly (James) Speake, and Colleen (Joe) Andert-Voss, all of Mishawaka. Also surviving is her brother, Terry (Patty) Tubicsak of South Bend, and her grandchildren; Monty Smith, James, Michael, and Amanda VanHuffel, A.J. and Dillion Fox, Elise, Tyler, and Cody Houck, and Abby and Jachob Toth, along with 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Tubicsak. A celebration of her life will take place from 2-6 pm at her home, 508 W. 10th Street in Mishawaka on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Darlene was a homemaker, and worked at Meijer in Mishawaka in the early 90's. She loved Notre Dame Football, and spending time with her "fur children" Jacob and Jacob. She was the Matriarch of her family, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
