Antoinette “Toni” Marie Picking, age 55, passed away on Thursday morning, January 13, 2022 at Raclin House, Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka, IN. Toni was a registered nurse early in her career and then worked at the Concord and Bittersweet Martin’s Supermarkets, in several capacities, including bakery manager. Toni was born on June 20, 1966, in Hazleton, PA, to the late Casimir and Diane (Heckman) Ditkosky and has lived in this area since 1997. She is survived by her friend and companion for over ten years, John Mitchell-residing together at their home in Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are two daughters, Megan (Kate) Kilgore and Bianca Picking, both of Elkhart; three stepchildren, Carey, Christopher, and Caitlynn Picking; John Mitchell’s children, Andrew and Austin Mitchell; six grandchildren, Alaura, Uriah, Jeremiah, Abel, Salara, and Marlie; four sisters, Diane Ditkosky of Freeland, PA; Christine (Marsby) Schoch of Higgins, PA; Barbara (Todd) Davis of Wapwallopen, PA; and Elizabeth (Aric) Strauch of Benton, PA; as well as one brother, Casimir Ditkosky of Hazleton, PA. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Friends may gather with the family from 2:00-4:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Another memorial service will take place at a later date in McAdoo, Pennsylvania, at Anilosky Funeral Home with the burial of cremated remains at Saint Kunegunda Cemetery.
