SOUTH BEND - Blanche Kloski, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in her residence surrounded by her family. Blanche was born March 9, 1924, to the late Walter and Adela (Polonka) Pierkarski. On December 11, 1982, Blanche married Joseph J. Kloski, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2013. Blanche was also preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley A Lechtanski; brothers, Joseph and Stanley Piekarski; and sisters, Sophie Budzinski and Josephine Piekarski. Survivors of Blanche include her children, Carol (Tom Sr.) Koepp of Granger and Jim Lechtanski; grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Cornell of South Bend, T.J. (Amy) Koepp, Jr. of Brownsburg; a great-grandson, Owen Koepp; and two new great-grandbabies "on the way." Blanche retired from the Bendix Corporation Department 9A after 39½ years. She was a member of the Z.B. Falcon and UAW Local 9. Blanche enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, occasional trips to the casino, and fishing at her lake cottage. Blanche loved life, her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Visitation for Blanche will be Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, April 24, at 3:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Senior 1 Care and the Hospice Foundation for their exceptional care.
