VALPARAISO, IN - Judith M. Gulick, 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Judith was born November 23, 1950 in South Bend to Julius “Cy” and Gloria (Kruszewski) Wassenhove. Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gulick on October 21, 2012; her parents; a brother, David Wassenhove; and aunt, Dorothy Kruszewski. Survivors of Judy include her son, Kyle Gulick; brother, Paul (Debbie) Wassenhove; sister-in-law, Barbara Wassenhove; uncle, Richard (Lorraine) Kruszewski; treasured nieces, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews. Judy worked for Indiana Bell/Ameritech for 20 years and Valparaiso University for 10 years. She was a very caring person who found enjoyment in her positions helping others at Whispering Pines and Brookdale Assisted Living in her final years of employment. Judy was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Valparaiso. Her life was blessed with close friends throughout the years. She made fond memories traveling with her friends and family and enjoyed many holidays and parties at Christie Lake. Judy had a special fondness for her pets, especially the cats. She was an amazing, loving person who will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday, November 5, 2018 in Holy Family Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family.
