BUCHANAN - Janice Irene Batko, 65, died at 5:42 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN, of natural causes. She was born February 12, 1945 in Knox, IN, to the late Otto and Mildred Keehn. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Batko; brothers, Larry Keehn and Raymond Keehn; and a sister, Delores Wagner. She retired as a registered nurse. She lived in Buchanan for 38 years. Was a member of First Church of Christ, Nile. On May 19, 1973 in Niles, MI, she married Aloysius Batko who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Jennifer Bishop of Lafayette, IN; and grandchildren, Matthew, Cullen, Madelyn and Holly. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 7, in Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 5 and Thursday Jan. 6. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Memorials may be made to First Church of Christ, 2240 Yankee Street, Niles, MI 49120
