SOUTH BEND - Adeline B. Bukowski, 90, passed away at 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 27, 2012, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Adeline was born September 25, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Antoni and Stefania (Slomski) Cytacki. On April 23, 1949, in South Bend, Adeline married Chester S. Bukowski Sr., who preceded her in death on September 28, 2011. Adeline was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ann Marie Modlin; sister, Sophie Harris; and brothers, Anthony, Edmond, Frank, Stephen, Bernard and Teofilia Cytacki. Adeline is survived by daughters, Sandra (Robert) Ecenbarger Sr. of Fort Wayne, IN, and Christine (David) Modlin of Mishawaka; son, Chester S. Bukowski Jr.; and grandchildren, Robert Ecenbarger Jr., Amelia Rose Ecenbarger, Cassandra "Mindy" Ecenbarger, all of Fort Wayne, IN, and Stephanie Modlin of West Lafayette, IN. Adeline was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm today, May 30, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 31, 2012, in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
