Valentine Walenty Olawski
March 03, 1880 ... August 30, 1946

Valentine Olawski age 66 of 510 North Walnut died of a sudden Heart Attack in his home at 3 am today. Born in Olawa, Poland March 3 1880 he came to SouthBend from at country on July 13 1899 and was employed for 47 years as a cabinet maker by the Singer manufacturing Company. Surviving arethe widow Josephine (Kwiatkowski / Flowers): three daughters Mrs Clementine Kurek, of Elyria OH, Mrs Florence manning of Hollywood,CA, and Mre Genevieve Singleton of South Bend. two sons Stephen of South Bend a Fireman and Leo with the US Army in Germany; a sister Mre Fannie Rutkowski of South Bend and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the home. The funeral will be conducted at St Hedwig 9 am Tuesday the rev Boleslaw Sztucko officiating burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. mr Orlawski was a member of the Star of Victory Society # 83, The Polish National Alliuance and a number of youth oriented committee activities.
