MIDDLEBURY - Curt Pietrzak, 54, of 605Woodbridge Court, died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday (June 11, 2009) at Elkhart Hospice House from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on May 24, 2009, in LaGrange County. He was born July 26, 1954, in Mishawaka, to Ron and Jacqueline (Bybee) Pietrzak. He married Debra Kay Rose on Dec. 27, 2006, in Fort Myers, Fla. She survives along with two daughters, Melissa Pietrzak and Jan Pietrzak, both of Elkhart; four stepdaughters, Sam Feldman and Haley Feldman, both of Elkhart, Amanda Thomas of Middlebury and Rhonda Willbey of California; one stepson, Jarrett Thomas of Middlebury; one sister, Tina (Wes) Wade of Elkhart; two brothers, Greg (Teresa) Pietrzak of Argos and Steve Pietrzak of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; and his father and stepmother, Ron and Jean Pietrzak of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Pietrzak was working as an engineer for D. M. I. in Bristol. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, playing golf and bowling.
Burial was at sea conducted by the U. S. Navy. Local military honors conducted by American Legion Post 210, Middlebury.
