Richard Joseph Nemeth, age 66, of Fresno, California, formerly of South Bend, passed away January 28, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Richard was born March 20, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mary (Lothamar) Nemeth. Dick graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Dick then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he honorably served from 1966-1972. He is survived by his sons Joseph (Maryssa) Nemeth III and Richard (Nicole) Nemeth, both of Goshen, Indiana, and his step-son Matthew (Gabrielle) Gayer of Elkhart. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren as well as his siblings, Bob (Linda) Nemeth, Bill Nemeth, Nancy DeVan and Mary Helen Nemeth. He was preceded in death by his brother Jim Nemeth. The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the 2:00 pm memorial service on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana with Rev. Larry Sonnenberg will presiding. Mr. Nemeth was employed as a transport dispatcher for Classic Transport and Horizon Transport for several years. He was a member of Chain of Lakes Conservation Club in Lydick, and the American Legion Post # 284 and #357 and Army/Navy Post #50. Donations in his memory may be made to his family
