SOUTH BEND - Angela Theresa Switalski (Wojciechowski) Angela passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was born to Walter and Bernice (Kapsa) Wojciechowski on January 17, 1932. She was a lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from South Bend Catholic High School she met and married the love of her life and soul mate, Bernard Switalski on April 11, 1953. Together they raised three sons, Chris, Timothy, and David. Angela had a love for Arts and Crafts and worked part-time as a floral designer at The Blue Jay's Nest. She was a great woman with a positive spirit; a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Angela was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daniel; son, Chris; and many loving friends. She is survived by her husband, Bernard, sons, Timothy (Teri) of Anacortes, WA and David (Michael Kane) of South Bend, IN; daughter-in-law, Christine Tepe-Switalski of South Bend, IN; sisters, Helen Malicki (Gerald) of Beaver Creek, OH, and Ann Marie Mucha (Walter) of Brentwood, TN; five granddaughters, Pamela LaCluyse (David), Cathy McCann (Adin), Tracy VanSchoick (Andrew), Gabrielle Switalski, Cassandra Anglum (Luke) and grandson, Travis Switalski (Metta); as well as ten great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one step great grandson. A celebration of her life will be held from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, South Bend, IN.
