Ronald B. Szulczyk, 72, residing in Granger, passed away at 10:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born in South Bend on February 9, 1941 to the late Joseph and Tillie (Mikolajewski) Szulczyk and remained a lifelong area resident. On August 3, 1985 in South Bend, Ron married the former Annemarie K. Siterlit, who survives. In addition to his loving wife, Annemarie of Granger, Ron is survived by daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Kessler of South Bend and Robin OBlock and Kim Reynolds, both of Granger; stepdaughter, Tinamarie (Christopher) Lowe of South Bend; son, Michael Szulczyk of Las Vegas, NV; and stepsons, Robert Hilton of Mishawaka, Donald (Rita) Hilton of Vinegrove, KY and William (Cheryl) Hilton of Wasilla, AK. He is also survived by grandchildren, Daniel (29), David (27), Adam (29), Ashley (28), Kyle (24), Shaunamarie (22), Steven (20), Christina (8), Jacob (17), Katie (16), Cassidy (18), Caleb (17) and Brianna (17); great grandchildren, Hailey (2), Caydence (1) and McKenna (5); as well as his sister, Nancy (Pat) Tubbs of South Bend. Ron served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He retired from truck driving after 33 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Buchanan, MI. Ron has touched so many lives in so many ways. His laughter and smile will truly be missed by all.
