NORTH LIBERTY - Marjorie B. “Marge” Pinkowski, 85 years old, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Hamilton Grove, New Carlisle. Mrs. Pinkowski was born on May 29, 1931 in Linton, IN to the late Herman and Ruth (Rogers) Mears. She has been an area resident since 1941, moving from Linton, IN. On October 22, 1955 in South Bend, Marjorie and Casimir Pinkowski were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2007. One brother, Charles Mears also preceded her in death. Mrs. Pinkowski is survived by her two children, Brenda (Greg) Aldrich of North Liberty and Scott (Mary) Pinkowski of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lori) Aldrich, James Aldrich, Christian Pinkowski, Joshua Pinkowski, Rachel Berryman and Justin (Darilyn) Berryman; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Blume of Granger and Odetta (Casimier) Wesolek of Lansing, MI; and one brother, Herman (Caren) Mears, Jr. of South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the North Liberty Church of the Brethren, 201 E. Market Street, North Liberty. Pastor Don Carroll will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, May 15 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 202 N. Main Street, North Liberty and one hour prior to services in the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marjorie B.
