Death Notice
Michael J. Bajdek, 85, of Hamlin Court, died at 3:45pm Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Florence B. (Krzyzewski); a daughter, Carol Barcza of South Bend; and tow sisters, Irene Miller and Virginia Herek, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10am Saturday in St Stanislaus Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8pm today and from 9 to 9:30am Saturday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 4pm.

Obituary
Michael J. Bajdek, 85, of South Bend IN, passed away at 3:45pm Wednesday, May 29, 2002, in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Bajdek was born on June 17, 1916, in South Bend, to Konstanty and Helen (Botka) Bajdek. He was the former owner of Mike Bajdeks Service for fifty years. On May 29, 1937, in St Adalbert Church, he married Florence B. Krzyzewski, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Carol (Michael) Barcza, of South Bend IN, tow grandchildren, John Barcza of South Bend IN and his fianc©be, Rachel Klug; Rebecca (Scott) Edelhauser of Chaska MN; three great grandchildren, Jonathan Barcza, Matthew Edelhauser, Elizabeth Edelhauser; two sisters, Irene Miller of South Bend, Virginia Herek of South Bend and by many nieces and nephews. His brother, Ben Bajdek, preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday, June 1, 2002, in St Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call form 2 until 8pm today and from 9 until 9:30am Saturday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 4pm today. Mr. Bajdek served in the Merchant Marines during WW II. He was a member of St Stanislaus Parish, M.R.Falcons Nest #4, VFW Gold Hill Post #8748, the American Legion and Four Lakes Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was loved by family and friends. He will be missed by all.
