SOUTH BEND -- Robert J. O'Brien, 42, died Wednesday (April 23, 2003) at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center after a battle with cancer. He was born to Ruth (Lauer) O'Brien and the late Robert J. O'Brien on June 15, 1960, in South Bend. He had been married to Sheila Sayer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda and Kailey O'Brien of Goshen; three brothers, Michael (Deb), Jim (Pam) and John (Susan) O'Brien of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Ken (Patricia) Conard of Mishawaka and Mrs. Dave (Ruth) Geraghty of South Bend; seven nieces and seven nephews; three great-nieces and two great-nephews. A mass and burial have already taken place. Kaniewski Funeral Home handled arrangements.
