Mary K. Blacharski, 79, of Mishawaka, died Thursday, August 1, 2013. The South Bend native was born May 15, 1934 to Arcangelo “Mike” and Ethel (Rickel) Martino, who have preceded Mary in death. On May 9, 1953 she married Lawrence N. Blacharski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakeville. Mary had retired from Weaver Silkscreening in Mishawaka and was a charter member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and was a former member of the Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Horein. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lawrence N. Blacharski; her sons, Lawrence N. Blacharski Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; David (Nanci) Blacharski of Lakeville and Mark (Julie) Blacharski of St. Petersburg FL; her grandchildren, Greg Horein of Goshen, Tony Blacharski of Olympia WA, Christopher, Theresa and Amber Blacharski, all of St. Petersburg, Danielle (Michael) Penick of Scottsdale AZ, Kristen (Matthew) Vernoy of Las Vegas, Mary (Tom) Cramer of South Bend, Stephen Blacharski of Mishawaka and Jason Blacharski of Lakeville, great-grandchildren, Justine, Taylor, Cameron, Jaidyn, Carly, Brady, Braden, Hannah, Isabelle, Olivia and Bradyn, sister, Martha Hochstetler of Bremen and her brother, Andy (Bunny) Martino of Racine WS. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Thursday August 8, 2013 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Vistula Rd. with calling 9:30 -10:30am at church. Calling also 5-8pm Wednesday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s preferred memorial is Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Hospice Foundation.
