Mrs. Nettie Banicki

Mrs. Nettie Banicki, 67, of 728 S. Webster St., died at 3:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph Hospital following
an illness of four months. She was born Oct. 17, 1903, in Germany, and had lived in this area for
almost all of her life. On May 19, 1925, as Nettie Dygulski, she was married to William C. Banicki, Sr.
who survives. Also surviving are a son, William C. Banicki, Jr. of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs.
Loretta Zack of South Bend, and Mrs. Justine Sheehan of Syracuse, N.Y.; five grandsons; two brothers,
Clem and Henry Dygulski, both of South Bend; three sisters, Miss Helen Dygulski, Mrs. Marie
Szekelys and Mrs. Bernice Nitka, all of South Bend. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday,
and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services are set for 9 a.m.
Tuesday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church, with Rev. George H. Szymanowski, C.S.C, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. She was a member of the Ladies Civic Club and
the Adoration Society, and the Rosary Society at St. Casimir's. A wake service is set for 7:30 p.m.
Monday in the funeral home.
