Aug. 12, 1911 - Nov. 29, 1994 SOUTH BEND - Modest S. Nowicki, 83, of Northwood Home, formerly of Fisher Street, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday in the nursing center. Mr. Nowicki was an employee of Studebaker Corp. He was born Aug. 12, 1911, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by a sister, Leona Nowicki of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Casimirs Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home
