SOUTH BEND - Dorothy J. Bagarus, 79, of South Bend, is survived by his sons, Bryan, Chris & Keith (Joanne) Bagarus; grandchildren, Hope, Claire & Audrey; sister, Gertrude Downs; & brothers, Joseph (Janice) Jeziorski & Steve (Sharon) Jeziorski. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, and one hour prior to the services in church.

SOUTH BEND - Dorothy J. Bagarus, 79, residing in South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Hospice House of St. Luke's in Bethlehem, PA, where she was visiting her son. She was born June 18, 1933 in South Bend; she was a daughter of Walter J. & Joan (Kuczmanski) Jeziorski, and had remained a lifelong resident of this community. On September 14, 1957 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, Dorothy was united in marriage to George M. Bagarus. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage until his passing on April 14, 2011. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Liwosz and Loretta Paar, and six brothers, Benjamin, Harry, Edward "Lefty", Ralph, Clem, & Leonard Jeziorski. Mrs. Bagarus was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, and the Red Hat Society. Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Bryan Bagarus of Bethlehem, PA, Chris Bagarus of Canton, OH, and Keith (Joanne) Bagarus of Hudson, OH, along with three granddaughters, Hope, Claire, and Audrey Bagarus, one sister, Gertrude Downs, and two brothers, Joseph (Janice) Jeziorski of Ballwin, MO and Steve (Sharon) Jeziorski of Schererville, IN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1: 00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, where visitation will occur one hour prior to Mass. Expressions of sympathy on behalf of Mrs. Bagarus may be offered to St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2120 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615, or to the Center for Hospice Care, Inc., 4220 Edison Lakes Parkway, Suite 210, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
