Graveside services for Seminole resident Ivan Charles Pokrefky were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Maple Grove Cemetery. The services are under the direction of Bill Eisenhower Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
Pokrefky died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at the age of 69. He was born to John Pokrefky and Mildred (Umlar) Pokrefky on Oct. 5, 1932 in Detroit, Mich. Pokrefky married Bertha Heffley on Jun 21, 1994 in Fort Smith, Ark.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Seminole. Pokrefky was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bertha, of the home; one son, Dale Sanders, Lawton; four daughters, Tammy Howard, Seminole; Lisa Weems and LeAnn Sanders, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Louise Mankus, Indiana; one brother, Melvin Pokrefky, Michigan; and eight grandchildren.
