SOUTH BEND - Thomas J. Reiter, 67, passed away at 3:10 pm Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the South Bend Hospice House. Thomas was born May 25, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Jurgonski) Reiter. Thomas is survived by 2 sons, Troy (Patti) Reiter of Orlando, FL, and Derek J. Reiter of Santa Ana, CA; grandson, Wil Reiter of Sanford, FL; granddaughter, Ruby Reiter of Orlando, FL; sister, Pauline (Daniel) Nowicki of South Bend; and 3 nephews, Craig (Mary Rose) Nowicki of South Bend, Todd Nowicki of Bristol, IN, and Jim Nowicki of South Bend. Thomas had retired from the AM General Corporation on June 1, 2012. He loved cars, motorcycles and spending time with friends. He loved dogs, especially Salukis. Thomas was also an active runner. Visitation for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Indiana 46637.
