SOUTH BEND - Michael "Mitch" Medich Jr., 58, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Ironwood Health & Rehab Center. Mitch was born on December 20, 1951 in South Bend to Michael and Mildred (Tumbas) Medich Sr. Mitch was employed by Ziolkowski Construction Company and also had been employed by Casteel Construction Company. Mr. Medich graduated from Purdue University, was a member of its Alumni Assoc. and was an avid golfer and a musician. On July 9, 1983 he married the former Jo Ann Harness. Surviving are his wife Jo Ann Medich; mother Mille Medich; four daughters Melissa Medich, Katelyn Medich, Sara Medich, and Michaela Medich; and a sister Kathy (Nick) Tarailo of Crown Point. Funeral services will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Matthew Cathedral or Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church.
