Suzanne T. Bella, 77, passed away at 11:00am Sunday, December 6, 2009 in Ironwood Health & Rehab Center. She was born on September 27, 1932 in South Bend to John and Anna (Sipocz) Pietrzak. On October 29, 1949 in South Bend as Suzanne Pietrzak she married Albert Ed Bella, who died on May 31, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son Les Bella, sister Jeanette Perry and brother John Pietrzak. Mom expressed her creativity throughout her life by decorating wedding cakes, working with miniatures, designing and sewing quilts and knitting hats and scarves. As a volunteer with Busy Hands of Michiana she donated her time and talents by sewing and knitting a variety of projects for distribution to other non-profit organizations that serve the less fortunate. She was a Riley High School graduate and a member of the Riley Lunch Bunch. Her hobbies included reading, birdwatching, gardening and DVD movies. Mom made a warm and loving home for her husband and four children and her grandchildren brought her endless joy. Surviving are a daughter Susan (David) Inwood of Mishawaka; two sons Eugene Bella and Brian Bella both of South Bend; two grandchildren Martin Inwood and Alexandra Inwood; two sisters Kathleen (Barry) Greene of South Bend and Evelyn Nyikos of Texas; two brothers Eugene Pietrzak and David Shidler both of South Bend; two daughters-in-law Judy Bella of Walkerton, IN and Teresa Jaronik of Pahrump, NV; and extended family and friends in Florida, Indiana and Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, December 13, 2009 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call from 12:00 2:00pm Sunday in the funeral home.
