Kevin M. “Snuffy” Chlebowski, 57, of North Liberty, Indiana passed away 1:30 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, in St. Joseph Medical Center. Kevin was born on March 29, 1964 in South Bend, to Eugene and Stella (Slaby) Chlebowski. He had been employed as a Service Advisor with Gurley Leep Automotive Family for 35 years. He was also the owner of Triple Diamond Defense, a self-defense and gun safety company. On May 21, 1994, in the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, North Liberty, Indiana he married Rusti J. Dill, who survives. Kevin is also survived by two daughters, Hannah and Emily, both at home, his mother, Stella Chlebowski of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Scott (Traci) Chlebowski and Paul Chlebowski both of South Bend, Indiana; his mother-in-law, Roberta Dill of North Liberty, Indiana; his sister-in-law, Rhonda (Walter) Cole; two brothers-in-law, Robert Dill and Rami (Lori) Dill; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Chlebowski; his father-in-law, Richard Dill; and several aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. There will be a procession from the funeral home to the church. The procession will begin around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Kevin was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. He was a volunteer Fireman and former Fire Chief for the Warren Township Fire Department. He was a member of Crumstown Conservation Club, P.N.A., Peace Keepers of New Carlisle, and the NRA. Kevin enjoyed camping with family and friends. He loved hosting Friday night dinners and Notre Dame Football tailgate parties. “ He was a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, neighbor, and the best friend you will ever have. He loved everyone he met and would drop whatever he was doing to help a person in need or to just converse for a bit. There were so many people praying for him and our family, however, early this morning, God decided he needed him in heaven at this time. We may never understand the timing of all of this, but I will always remember him saying to me “Friends and family don’t say good-by….they just say, SEE YA LATER”
