SOUTH BEND - Edmund B. Golba, 94, passed away November 14, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn, dear father of Carolyn (the late Frederick "Bud"), Patrick (Sharron), the late James (Karen), and late Norbert, loving grandfather of six and great-grandfather of three. He was preceded by his parents, Alexander & Emelia; and his siblings, Sophia, Margaret, Helen, Jane and Richard. Visitation is on Thursday, 3-9 pm, with a 7 pm Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). In state Friday 9 am until time of the funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association . Edmund B. Golba, age 94 of Warren, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan.
He was born on June 11, 1919 in South Bend, Indiana, son of the late Alexander and the late Emilia (nee: Kulpaneszka) Golba. Edmund was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn. Dear father of Carolyn (the late Frederick "Bud") Popp, Patrick (Sharron) Golba, and father-in-law of Karen Golba. Loving grandfather of Beth (Brad) Handshu, Kim (Jeff) Messer, Christina (Roger) Robles, Jason Popp, Adam Golba, Troy Golba, and great-grandfather of James, Mia, and Mary Messer. He was preceded in death by sons, James and Norbert, and his siblings, Sophie, Margaret, Helen, Jane, and Richard. Visitation for Edmund will be held on Thursday, November 21th from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Knights of Columbus Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 u Mile Road) in Warren. He will lie In State on Friday, November 22nd from 9:00am until time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
