SOUTH BEND - Gladys Faye Pacholke, 91, of South Bend, passed away peacefully Thursday in Valparaiso. She was born in Michigan City, IN on March 6, 1924 to the late Henry and Laura (Lebke) White. On May 24, 1945 she married Lee P. Pacholke, who passed away on June 16, 2002. Together, she and Lee had five children: Patricia (James) Wallace and Stephanie Pacholke, both deceased; Mark (Joan) Pacholke of Valparaiso, Josephine (Shih-Li) Lai of Cerritos, CA, and Theresa (former son-in-law Mike) Daniel of Dallas, TX. There are eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a Lady of the Knights of Columbus Council #5521 where her husband was past Grand Knight and a member of the Ladys of the Fourth Degree Fr. J. A. Nieuwland Assembly. She was a long time member of St. Joe Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am TODAY at St. Joseph Catholic Church at the corner of Hill & LaSalle in South Bend, with Rev. Brian Ching, CSC, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held in the church before mass from 10-10:50am. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice .
