As near as I can tell, Irene was born in Pennsylvania. She was married there to some guy named Alasko, then came to the Michiana area, and married Gero and then Herczeg.
I don't know where the obit writer got Vincent from (unless there was an additional marriage.

McAdoo is a borough and coal town in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States, 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Hazleton and 7 miles north of Tamaqua. South bend - Irene J Herczeg 91 of Kern Road died at 10:55 a.m. at Medco Center, South Bend. She was born January 29, 1900 in McAdoo, PA . On November 10, 1926 as Irene Alasko - Gero - Barsody she married Steven Herczeg in Niles MI. He died Nov 10, 1978. Two sons Carl Alasko and Joseph Herczeg preceeded her in death. She is survived by two daughters Elizabeth "Alasko" Molnar and Rosemary McColley,both of South Bend and four sons Stephen, Anthony, and Lewis of South Bend and James of Lakeville, IN . She was a member of our lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Hungary with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemtery.
