Lorretta Soper, age 76, of LaGrange, IN died Saturday April 8, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on May 11, 1940 in south Bend, IN to Edward & Thelma (Griffin) Slisz. Loretta was a homemaker all her life. She had lived in Oklahoma until 2009 when she moved to Millers Merry Manor in LaGrange, IN. She attended the Church of God. She enjoyed Bingo and participating in ARC Activities. She is survived by 2 sons - Wayne Hoy of Michigan and Jimmy Soper of Coobay Oregon. 1 daughter - Desiree Soper of Michigan. 1 brother - Thomas Carothers of Lake Station, IN. 5 sisters - Phyllis Dorsey of Walkerton, IN, Jeannie Navrotsky in Tonkawa, OK, Sandy Van Winkle of Howe, IN, Rose Cornelius of Irvington, AL and Jackie Eggeson of Kyle, TX. 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son - Keith Covey, 2 brothers - Charles and Caspar Slisz, 2 sisters - Margaret (Margo) Podemski and Christina Monnior. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 6, 2017 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. during visitation.
