SOUTH BEND - Donald Eugene Lukasiewicz, 60, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Elkhart Hospice House with his family by his side. Donnie was born March 31, 1957 in South Bend to Donald Edward and Helen (Horwarth) Lukasiewicz who preceded him in death. Survivors of Donnie include stepmother, Joan Lukasiewicz; brothers, David Lukasiewics, and Thomas (Judy) Lukasiewicz; sister, Karen Lukasiewicz; sister-in-law, Gail Lukasiewicz; niece, Tracie (fiance Ricky Mahadeo) Lukasiewicz; cousin, Susan Seagrove and many other cousins locally and across the country. Donnie was a parishioner of St. Jude's Catholic Church. He was employed at Logan Industries for over 40 years. He excelled in Special Olympics earning a Bronze Medal in London, England for swimming. Donnie also participated in basketball and bowling with Logan Recreation. He loved fishing, Star Wars and spending time with family. Donnie was always happy and easy going, and brought a joyful feeling to everyone who was lucky to know him. Visitation for Donnie will be TODAY, Monday, October 30, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with Funeral Service being celebrated with Father John Delaney at 12:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Logan Community Resources, 2505 E.
