Obituary from p. 24 of the 26 DEC 1989 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:

SOUTH BEND - Raymond J. "Blackie" Ciesielski, 62, of 419 S. Camden St. died about 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Ciesielski retired from the South Bend Community School Corp. He was born March 13, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct. 7, 1950, in South Bend, he married Dolores J. Carr, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Carlyn Ciesielski of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Irvin of South Bend, and his mother, Hattie Ciesielski of South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8748 . Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation. The South Bend Area Genealogical Society Marriage Record Index shows an entry for Ray Ciesielski & Dolores Joan Carr on 7 OCT 1950.
