A parcel of land on the corner of Quince and Edison Roads was donated by Mr and Mrs S A Ross (parents of Mrs Walter (Mae) Plumbeck, Mrs Elmer (Daisy) Whitsel and Mrs Roy (Myrtle) Peterson) for the new church. Research done in 1960 disclosed that the value of that first parcel of land was $3.20.
