James V. Klosowski

GRANGER - James V. "Kelly" Klosowski, 82, went to heaven to play poker. We lost our beloved Husband, Father and Papa Kelly. Kelly was born on February 7, 1928 in South Bend to the late Michael and Hattie (Ciesiolka) Klosowski. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and Melvin Klosowski and by his sister, Lorraine Berzai. On June 25, 1955 he married Evelyn Zywert in St. Casimir Catholic Church, she survives along with their two daughters, Diane (Tom) Lutomski of Granger and Laurie (Scott) Ruoff of Granger; four grandchildren, Brian, Kristin, Katie and Rachel. Kelly honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of P.N.A lodge #83 where he was Manager for 5 years. He also was a member of American Legion Post 357, Moose Lodge and the Breezers Club. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Kelly retired in 1984 from Michiana Beverage. He enjoyed playing poker, many trips to Las Vegas, playing slow-pitch softball and bowling for P.N.A., and spending time with his grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in St. Pius X Catholic Church where family and friends may gather one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Rd. Granger, IN 46530. For those who are unable to attend the Funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
