Margaret L. (Tetzlaff) Nimtz, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 surrounded by family. Margaret was born on September 30, 1931 in South Bend to the late Harry & Daisy (Hostetler) Tetzlaff. She remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. On June 17, 1950 in South Bend she married Emerson Nimtz who preceded her in death in 1998. Margaret was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed playing card games. Margaret is survived by her children, Richard (Jan) Nimtz of South Bend, Gary (Kathy) Nimtz of Lakeville, Gail Walsh of South Bend, and Sharon (Randy) Herban of Osceola, along with 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, sisters; Ruth Barnhart, Alice Basham, Janice Kurz, Ardith Mornout, and Jackie Tetzlaff all of South Bend; brothers, Allen “Butch” (Sandy) Tetzlaff of Lakeville, Gene Tetzlaff, Bert (Debbie) Tetzlaff both of South Bend, Jerry (Cherrie) Tetzlaff of Jacksonville, ILL, and son in law Guy Vidmar. Along with her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Sue Vidmar, and son, Dennis Nimtz, her sisters, Betty Johnson, Irene Uselman, brother, Raymond Tetzlaff, and John Tetzlaff. At this time the family will be holding a private memorial service, and will hold a celebration of life with extended family and friends at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation services are assisting the family with arrangements.
