Vertia is daughter to John Wesley Rickey and Amelia E. Whitman and wife of Frank Fermer Rynearson. Vertia's sister, Edith, married her husband's brother, George Washington Rynearson. (Rickey sisters married Rynearson brothers.)

Mrs. Vertia Rynearson.

Mrs. Vertia Rynearson, 5305 W. Bulla Rd., died at 6:30 a.m. today in her residence after a year's illness. She was born in North Liberty Feb. 25, 1887, and lived most of her life here. She was the widow of Frank Rynearson who died in 1953. Surviving are three sons, Carl, Earl and Lloyd of South Bend; six daughters, Mrs. Betty Hermann and Mrs. Marie Hooten, South Bend; Mrs. Gladys Myers, Mishawaka; Mrs. Thelma Farkas, Dowagiac, Mich., Mrs. Garnett Utley, Crown Point, Ind.; and Mrs. Marvel Crill, Phoenix, Ariz., two brothers, Glen Rickey, North Liberty and Claude Rickey, Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Edith Rynearson, Auburn, Ind.; 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday in the Hollis Funeral Home. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ Temple, Rev. Ray Jones, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
