SOUTH BEND - Clifford F. Kazmierzak, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013, in the Sterling House. Clifford was born May 5, 1923, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Harriet (Panicki) Kazmierzak. On June 22, 1957, in South Bend, Clifford married Joan (Wisniewski) Kazmierzak, who preceded him in death on August 20, 2012. Clifford was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Richard. Survivors of Clifford include a daughter, Doreen (Robert) Arena of Athens, NY; grandchildren, Brandon, Danielle and Nicole; and sister-in-law, Marlene Yergeau of South Bend. Clifford honorably served his country in the United States Army during WW II, and was a member of the American Legion Post 284. He retired from the Bendix Corporation and Allied Signal as an engineer after many years of service; and he was a member of the Bendix Retiree Club. Clifford was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation for Clifford will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, September 19, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
