Genevieve Jozwiak
1914-2004

A funeral Mass for Mrs. Genevieve L. Jozwiak, 90, of 7633N CR-500E, Rolling Prairie, was today at St. John Kanty Catholic Church, Rolling Prairie, with Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. She died Monday, March 1, 2004, at 1 a.m. at LaPorte Hospital.

Burial was in St. John Kanty Cemetery, Rolling Prairie. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Jan. 3, 1914, in New Carlisle to John A. and Helen (Pekofske) Miller.

Mrs. Jozwiak was a homemaker. She was a 1932 graduate of New Carlisle High School and a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church, Golden Ages, Rosary Society and Galena Extension Homemakers. She loved to make quilts for people and loved to crochet and knit.

On Nov. 24, 1934, in Rolling Prairie, she married Clemens "Clem" Jozwiak, who died Nov. 21, 1981.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Dorothy Noverske and Betty Baron; and two brothers, Floyd and Andrew Miller.

Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Olson of Mill Creek and Rose Marie Timm of Michigan City; one son, Jerome G. (Rose) of Rolling Prairie; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Pat Kopchinski of Michigan City, Augustine Zgoda of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Margaret Andrysiak of Hudson Lake; and one brother, Frank Miller of New Carlisle.
