=============

According to the 1900-1910 census records of South Bend, Indiana, Michael Bognar, and his wife Mary had both been born in Austria-Hungary, had immigrated in the early 1890s, had married 1895-1896, and Mary had had eight children of whom seven were living. Their children included Katherine born in Georgia; the others had been born in Indiana (in birth order): Clara, Edith, a stillborn infant, Joseph, Michael Jr., Peter, and John. Michael's mother, Theresa Bognar, was living with the family at the time of the 1910 and 1920 censuses.

Michael Bognar died in 1938 in South Bend. Mary Bognar died in 1967 in South Bend. Her date and place of death are given in her Indiana death certificate for which her daughter, Clara Bognar, was the informant. Clara reported that her mother was a widow. it was Clara's understanding that her mother had been born Sep. 8, 1876 in Hungary.
