Sister M. Des Victories CSC, 81, died Monday in St. Mary's Convent after a short illness. She was born Catherine Bognar on Aug. 26, 1896 in Talaposa, Ga.; entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross Aug. 17, 1914; was received as a novice Aug. 6, 1915 and made her her profession Aug. 15, 1917. She taught at St. Joseph High School in South Bend from 1955 to 1961, and at St. Mary's School in Michigan City for 16 years. She also taught in Hammond, and in Texas, Idaho, Utah and Illinois.
Friends may call Thursday and Friday in the convent parlors where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. today. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
