This is my great-uncle, brother to my grandmother. He was the husband of Celina (Bouteleux) Reece and the father of 3 children. He enlisted in the Army April 4, 1941 and served in World War II.

Taken from the Arpil 12, 1971 issue of The South Bend Tribune:

Orville S. Reece, 52, of 12839 Esther St., died at 2 a.m. Sunday shortly after he arrived at St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been taken by private ambulance. Mr. Reece was born March 7, 1919, in Greene County, Indiana and had lived in Mishawaka for the past 24 years, moving here from Worthington, Ind. He was employed by the Bendix Corp., Aerospace Systems Division, Mishawaka.
On Sept. 20, 1946, in Linton, Ind., he married the former Celina Boulteleux, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Raymond, at home; two daughters, Lea L., a student at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, and Diana J., at home; three brothers, George and William Reece of Worthington and Harry reece of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Biggs of South Bend and Mrs. Guy Hrdesty and Mrs. Elbert Payne, both of Worthington. Friends may call after noon today in the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, where arrangements are being completed.

Funeral services for Orville S. Reece, 52, of 12839 Esther St., who died unexpectedly Sunday, were to be held at 1 p.m. today in the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, with Rev. Gary Stees, pastor of the Willow Creek United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Reece was a veteran of World War II.
