Raymond E. Reece, 76 years old, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away on January 25, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Orville and Celina (Bouteleux) Reece. Raymond was involved in boyscouts of America Troup 525, in the 1990s with Bill and Andy. Raymond served in Vietnam in 1966-69. He was a lifetime member of the VFW post 360. He also served on the military honor team performing over 2000 military funerals. He was awarded in early January of 2023 by mayor Dave Wood for community service related to the funerals he participated in. Raymonds favorite hobbies where spending time outside, fishing and telling campfire stories. Along with his wife, Raymond is also survived by his son, Bill (Kimberly) Reece of Mishawaka, Indiana; three grandchildren, Heidi and Alexander Reece and Addyson Tibbs; two sisters, Lea (Rick) Murphy of Trafalgar, Indiana and Diana (Dave) Sommer of Mishawaka; seven nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Andy Ritter of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Willow Creek United Methodist Church, 14010 Jefferson Blvd., Mishawka, Indiana 46545. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service. Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
