SOUTH BEND - Mary Hollingsworth, 76, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at 12:49 in her home. Mary was born on August 8, 1932, in South Bend. On July 10, 1951, she married John Hollingsworth in South Bend, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1985. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, and by her two brothers, Frank and Mac Smigielski. She is survived by her five daughters, Mary (Dennis) Eckenberger of South Bend, Rose (William) Sniadecki of South Bend, Becky Hollingsworth of Bremen, IN, Janet Hollingsworth of South Bend and Jean (Richard) Hagelgans of Goshen; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a shopaholic; she enjoyed her life and loved cats and working outside. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will also be from noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge Inc., 2300 W. 6th, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
