SOUTH BEND - Rose Sue Sniadecki, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 surrounded by her family. Rose was born in South Bend, December 30, 1952 to the late John and Mary E. (Smigelski) Hollingsworth. On August 5, 1972 Rose married Bill Sniadecki; he survives along with her only daughter, Hope Angela Sniadecki (Rose had the distinction of being the first woman in South Bend to successfully carry and deliver her baby daughter “Hope” on June 22, 1987 through the process of the in vitro-fertilization; she was extremely proud of her baby girl). Rose is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon, Kristiana, and Gavin Sniadecki all of whom adore their grandma Rose and will miss her tremendously; her sisters, Mary (Dennis) Eckenberger, Becky & Janet Hollingsworth, and Jean (Richard) Hagelgans; friend, Emma Douglas-Roberson, and many nieces & nephews. Rose was employed with the South Bend Tribune for 20 years in the Circulation Department, and then joined St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as a Nutritionist. Rose enjoyed gardening and jewelry. She was very devoted to her grandchildren. Visitation for Rose will take place 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
