SOUTH BEND - Helen Pocza, 86, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center. Helen was born on June 6, 1931 in Bobot, Hungary. She was a hairdresser at Trend Setters and Milton Retirement Home, and was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church. On November 20, 1948 she married Istvan Pocza. He died on March 6, 1965. Helen was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Pocza; two sisters, Anna Lipovics and Theresa Pataki; and two brothers, Frank Papp and Julius Papp. Surviving are three sons, Zoltan (Nong) Pocza of Allen, TX, Arpad (Pamela) Pocza of Sherman, TX, and Frank (Beth) Pocza of FL; 6 grandchildren, Steve Pocza, Michelle (Michael) Ross, Zoltan (Melissa) Pocza Jr., Erika (Justin) Gibson, Arpi Pocza, and Jimmy (Renee') Pocza, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, daughter-in-law, Martha Pocza, sister, Mariska Nemeth, and brother, Geza Papp. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am until services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
